Pick 3 Tickets
Pick 3 is an online-only game, available in the UK and various other parts of the world. You don’t need to worry about keeping a paper ticket safe or checking the results afterwards.
Your numbers will be stored securely online as soon as you have confirmed them, and if you win a prize it will be paid directly into your account.
Bet Types
For a Straight, the objective is to match your numbers with the three winning ones in the exact same order they are drawn. As each winning number is pulled from a separate pool of 0 to 9 you can have repeating numbers in your combination.
A Box bet requires you to match the three numbers in any order. If you opt for a Straight/Box, you are betting on your numbers appearing in the exact order and any order. You win both parts of the bet if you get the order right, or just the Box prize if the winning numbers are in a different order. A Combo bet is one on each of the Straight combinations within your three-digit number set.
You can also select a Pairs bet, where the aim is to match just the front two numbers or the back two numbers.
3-Way or 6-Way?
Straight, Box and Pairs bets cost either £0.50 or £1 each – it is up to you how much you bet. The price for a Combo ranges from £1.50 to £6 – this depends on whether you want to wager £0.50 or £1 per entry, and whether you have picked a 3-way selection or a 6-way.
A 3-way selection is one in which you pick two numbers that are the same and one that is different. There are only three possible combinations of those numbers. For example, if you pick 0, 0 and 7, they may come up as 007, 070 or 700. A 6-way combination uses three unique numbers, for example 2, 4 and 6. These can come up six different ways (e.g. 246, 264, 426, 462, 624 and 642).
Once you’ve picked your numbers you can choose whether to enter just one draw or subscribe to future ones on a rolling basis. The benefit of this is that you don’t need to remember to place your bet for every draw – your numbers will be entered automatically for the duration of the subscription.
How to Play Pick 3 in 3 Easy Steps
Step 1:
Select your bet type
Start by specifying your bet type – Straight, Box, Straight/Box, Pairs or Combo. This determines the combination of numbers you will be playing with, and also the prizes you can win.
Step 2:
Pick your numbers
Choose your numbers from 0 to 9. Unless you’re playing the Pairs game, you must pick three numbers. You can either choose your numbers or get a randomly-generated Quick Pick.
Step 3:
Choose your draws and stake
Decide how many daws you want to enter, and then choose your bet amount. For most wager types, you can select your stake to be £0.50 or £1. You can then finalise your entry and wait for the draw.
Pick 3 Prizes
Each different bet type has its own associated prizes. You can win from £25 for a successful Pairs bet up to £500 for a winning Straight – a 500x return on your stake. The table below shows how your bet amount and type relates to the prize you can win, as well as the odds of picking up a prize.
Bet Type | Prize for a 50p Bet | Prize for a £1 Bet | Odds of Winning |
---|---|---|---|
Straight | £250 | £500 | 1 in 1,000 |
Box (3-Way) | £80 | £160 | 1 in 333.33 |
Bos (6-Way) | £40 | £80 | 1 in 166.67 |
Straight/Box (3-Way) | - | £80 / £330 | 1 in 333.33 / 1 in 1,000 |
Straight/Box (6-Way) | - | £40 / £290 | 1 in 166.67 / 1 in 1,000 |
Combo (3-Way)* | £250 | £500 | 1 in 333.33 |
Combo (6-Way)* | £250 | £500 | 1 in 166.67 |
Front Pair | £25 | £50 | 1 in 100 |
Back Pair | £25 | £50 | 1 in 100 |
These prizes are fixed amounts, so they stay the same in every draw. If it happens that there are no winners in a particular draw the prize money does not roll over and increase in value for the following draw. You do, however, get paid the stated amounts regardless of how many winners there are in the same draw – the prize money is not shared.
As Pick 3 is an online-only game your prize money will be paid into your online player account shortly after the win has been validated. You will receive an email notification to say that you have won so just log in to your account and you will see the prize money reflected in your balance.
Frequently Asked Pick 3 Questions
How much does Pick 3 cost?
The cost to play Pick 3 is based on how you play. You can choose to bet £0.50 or £1 for most bet types, while a Combo will be £1.50 or £3. The total cost also takes into account how many bets you place and how many draws in advance you enter.
What are the odds of winning Pick 3?
The odds of winning depend on how you play. Your chances of matching all six numbers for a Straight are 1 in 1,000, but the odds for a 6-way Box are 1 in 166.67.
Do the prizes roll over if nobody wins?
No, the prize values are the same in every draw. Even if nobody wins in a particular draw, the amounts on offer do not increase. However, you are also guaranteed to receive the advertised prize even if there are lots of other winners. You do not have to share prizes.
